At What Cost!

Mr Fazle Hasan taught us Financial Management in 1986 at IBA. During each class session, the discussion would invariably turn towards his oft repeated dictum “At What Cost”. This was the major theme of his course. He wanted us to take stock of the long term costs of our decisions. We should estimate and recognize the costs of the faulty political decisions that have led us to this sorry state. Here I would like to put together the thoughts that require computation of economic costs through formal academic rigor.
